    Last dual meet of the SJSSL season!

    June 28th

    JCP Porpoises families,

    We hope everyone is having a great week! We have a lot of AWESOME information to share with you today:

    This Saturday’s Swim meet

    • We have our LAST meet of the season this coming Saturday, June 29th and it is also our last home meet verses the Heritage Landing Hammerheads!
    • Please make sure that you are at the pool by 6:40 AM for warm-ups. It’s really important for swimmers to arrive on time and that you check in with Coach Cam and/or Coach Rich. Any swimmers that don’t check in will be scratched from the meet, so please don’t be late! We need and want everyone!!!

    4th of July Parade

    • Please review the email sent out on 6/27 for more information about how the Porpoises are participating in this year’s JCP 4th of July Parade! We hope you can join us!

    Champs Pep Rally

    • Thursday, July 11th at 4:30PM at the Aquatic Center Pool.
    • Bring poster supplies.
    • It’s food truck night at the Aquatic Complex so you can grab a bite and make your posters!

    Champs information

    • The Champs letter from the league will be sent out this weekend or early next week with details about the meet. But as a reminder, the meet will be held at The Bolles School, located at 7400 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL .
    • Please RSVP for Champs by Sunday, June 30th on Swimtopia so our coaches will know who to expect.
      • Friday, July 12th session will be for 11-18 year olds. Events 1-44. Warm ups at 4:00 PM, meet starts at 5:00 PM
      • Saturday, July 13th session will be for 10 and unders. Events 45-78. Warm ups at 8:30 AM, meet starts at 9:30 AM.
    • Champs volunteer positions will open up this weekend. As soon as they are posted, we will let you know. Champs can’t happen without everyone helping, so thank you ahead of time!

    Champs Philanthropy

    • Just a reminder that our league is raising money to support The Shawn Delifus Foundation. Please see the email sent on 6/22 for more information.
    • Here is how you can donate:
    • We have until Champs meet (July 12-13) to do this. Cash donations and/or goggle donations will also be accepted in person at Champs.

    End of Season Banquet

    • Sunday, July 14th 12:30 PM-3:30 PM at the Aquatic Complex.
    • We will have pizza, water, and cupcakes for everyone. Please RSVP on SwimTopia under the End of Season Banquet event so we will have enough food for everyone!
    • Wear your swimsuits for fun games and relays! YES PARENTS, this is your time to shine! Start practicing those starts, turns and strokes! We want you to show your kids how awesome your swimming skills are!

    Ribbons

    • Ribbons are available in our ribbon boxes at the pool. Each swimmer has their own folder. Please make sure to check the ribbon boxes and pick up your ribbons the next time you are at the pool.

    • Our team picture has been posted on our website and in our 2024 Porpoises google photo album. HUGE shout out to Elio Pajares Ruiz for taking our team photo again this year and for the amazing shots he has posted in our shared photo album.
