    Your JCP Porpoise Board of Directors has some exciting coaching news to share with you:

    After coaching summer league consecutively for 21 years, 15 of those with the JCP Porpoises, Coach Tracy will be stepping down from our Porpoises Head Coaching position. We are excited to share with you that she will still be a very active and engaged part of our JCP Porpoises family as our Computer Operator and as a Swim Mom. Thank you, Coach Tracy, for ALL the years of dedication to OUR team and the St. Johns Summer Swim League!

    We are pleased to announce that Coach Cam Bendetsen, will be our 2024 Head Coach. Coach Cam comes to us with over 16 years as a competitive swimmer and over 7 years of coaching experience. Cam grew up swimming in California with the Santa Clara Swim Club and the Palo Alto Swim Club, boasting over 30 age group Top16 National rankings and a top 3 finisher at Junior Nationals. Cam attended the University of Maryland and UCSB where he competed for both schools. Cam's coaching principle: "No one care how much you know until they know how much you care". Cam is a 3rd Level Sommelier by Court of Masters Sommelier, certified massage therapist, certified holistic health professional and holds a degree in Political Science from UCSB. He enjoys travel and being on deck coaching.

    We are also pleased to announce that Coach Cam has hired Rich Nguyen as his Assistant Coach. Coach Rich is a freshman enrolled in the University of Florida’s Honors Program studying Computer Science Engineering. Coach Rich swam from 12 years including several years with the Porpoises. Coach Rich loves teaching and instilling the passion for swimming in the next generation.

    Don’t forget to register! Registration for previous swimmers opened this past Monday and open registration begins this coming Monday, March 11th!
